Shell Irus Fluids

Shell Irus is a range of advanced fire resistant hydraulic fluids. They contain powerful additives to enhance their anti-wear, anti-corrosion and anti-oxidation properties and are available in various fire-resistant categories including HFA, HFB, HFC, HFDU and HFDR.

Turbines

Shell Turbo Oils are widely regarded as setting the Industry standard in performance for lubricating steam, gas, combined cycle and hydro turbines. The Turbo range has been upgraded to provide even longer life, combined with reduced risk of deposits and filter blockage in the newest high performance machines. It also includes speciality products for aero-derivative turbines and fire resistant governor fluids.

Wind Turbines - Shell Omala and Tivela Oils

Shell's Omala and Tivela ranges of gear oils contain high performance products suitable for the unique challenges of wind turbine gearboxes. Shell can also provide special hydraulic fluids and greases enabling reliable operation across the wide ranges of temperature found in this application.

Shell Albida

Shell Morlina

Shell Morlina is a range of lubricants for a wide variety of applications. The lower viscosity oils (ISO VG 5 and 10) can be used as advanced spindle oils. The higher viscosity grades are premium quality, heavy duty, bearing and circulating oils.

Heavy Fuel Engines - Shell Argina

Shell Argina Oils are premium quality lubricants designed for medium speed trunk piston diesel engines burning residual fuels. They have a reputation for providing very high standards of engine reliability and cleanliness for more than twenty years. The Argina range has been continuously upgraded and extended to keep pace with technical advances, including modern designs with ultra-low oil consumption.

Heavy Fuel Engines - Shell Alexia

Shell Alexia 50 Oil is Shell's main cylinder oil for low (slow) speed crosshead engines. It has been recently upgraded to provide excellent cleanliness and load carrying in the latest high output long stroke engines, even operating at 100% load in power plant duty.

Heavy Fuel Engines - Shell Melina

Shell Melina oils are 'system' oils, for the separate crankcase lubrication of low speed engines. They are designed for use with Shell Alexia and can work safely with the high levels of intercontamination which occur in engines with high boost pressures.

Natural Gas Engines - Shell Mysella

Shell Mysella is a large range of specialist lubricants, from ashless products through to high ash types. They cater for the demands of both 2 and 4 stroke spark-ignited and dual fuel (pilot fuel) engines.The range includes products designed for both moderate and high oil stress engines, to minimise deposits, detonation and fouling and also includes products able to protect engines running with 'sour' gases, such as sewage and landfill gas.

Shell Malleus

Shell Malleus is a high performance range of open gear lubricants and thread compounds. They are high viscosity-based with advanced additives to enhance performance under very highly loaded areas and have excellent shock loading capabilities. Shell Malleus comes in several viscosity grades and NLGI specifications.
